Alan Cerveny has been a college admissions professional for over twenty-six years.  He became the Dean of Admissions at the University of Nebraska in April of 2002.   Prior to coming to NU, Alan was the Director of Admissions and Scholarships at the University of Kansas (1996-2002) and the Director of Admissions (1987-1991) and then the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services (1991-1996) at James Madison University in Virginia.  Cerveny began his career as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Nebraska in 1980.
